Graphic design.Graphic design is not only means of design but means of communication as well, which enables to make your intuition and thoughts visible, implementing them into a form, which can be proudly presented to the whole world. Skills of the designer are not mere skills to arrange certain elements in the way to produce a favourable impression on the beholder, like while making a bouquet, they are the skills to arrange and present the reader with various information in the right way. All these are important both to create a logo and and develop any printed matter. Nowadays, graphic design is used in advertising and printing, cinema, TV, computer electronic technologies, public relations and other spheres of mass media. Means of graphic design are used to develop visual messages of various difficulty and importance – from logo creation to develpping a corporate style, from a short advertisement to a many-page edition, from a minor fluorescent signpost to a big informational light panel. In this case there are used traditional print services, computer technologies and other modern electronic means of displaying the information. Creating a LogoThe work of the graphic designer usually begins with receiving a task or an order to create a logo. Quite often the task is a kind of general ideas of a customer about the type of the logo, its verbal description, on the basis of which a designer has to define the concept of the future work. Then it is followed by the stage of analysis. Here the designer defines the function and the goal of the order, elicits the message of the information, chooses a possible form of solution and the required means of its realization. The main thing at this stage is to choose the artistic device which will predetermine the following stages of creating a logo. At the following stage of preliminary logo creation, the first logo outlines and sketches are made. The most important stage of working on a logo is choosing an appropriate variant. The one which meets the objective in the most exact way is chosen. The process of creating a logo is finished directly by its performance. It is at this very stage that the designer is required to put the main law of composition into practice, the general idea of the project is polished, author’s discoveries are implemented, the final arrangement of textual and graphic block elements are made. After that the model of the logo is handed over to the customer who arranges its presentation on the media in this or that way. |
