Creating and Developing Logos.

The logo is a symbol of the community of customers and one of the main elements of the modern civilization.

Creating a logo as an official graphical image of a company or brand is essential in all spheres of human activity.

The logo acts as a company signature if to interpret the signature both as an identification sign and call to action.

The advent of the logo in the modern civilization is an integral part of the common tendency of increasing the number of symbols, which is characteristic of the existence conditions of modern people.

Since the logo cannot account for a full range of the company activities, then the process of creating the logo should be preceded by the process of selecting important and determining elements of the non-material entity like a company or brand.

The logo is also a means of internal communications, uniting the employees of the same company even if they work at a long distance from one another.

There exist several types of logos.

 

Linguisitc logos:

  • They are a full name of the company in the form of the text.
  • They have the form of acronyms, abbriviations, introducing only initials of company’s name or initials of top-management in the logo.
  • They consist of one letter, dominating the whole title.
  • They are a combination of figures and letters.
     

Graphica Logos:

  • The pictorial logo is a picture, very similar to the physical object.
  • The diagram logo is made in the form of a scheme or a small picture and presents the main feature of the product.
  • The metaphor logo uses the analogy technique and is an element, which represents the type of the company business and its position in a market.
     

The mixed logo:

The mixed logo consists of linguistic and graphic logos.
