A perfect site or the best site
A perfect site or the best site
A perfect site like a perfect weapon doesn’t exist but everyone aims to create it. Everybody knows a saying – the sky is the limit, so it works in all human activity spheres without exception.
A wide range of sites can be considered the best and everything will depend upon an end user subjective value in other words you and I. For some a social network can seem the best site, some – a portal filled with music, games and films, others – their own site and so on indefinitely.
But let’s find out what all design studios aim for and for what purpose and why a controversial question what the best site is exists.
Site criterions
Without going into details of professional site rating let’s consider any site from viewpoint of a common user - to what extent a resource usage is comfortable for you and I, whether a site is understandable and good looking, if we want to use it once again.
We want to point out at necessity to be impartial and without prejudice like “this is my competitor’s site that is why it is bad by default” when you evaluate a site.
In our opinion there are the best criterions for a common user:
- Website originality;
- Ease of use and management;
- Design, colour, style, etc. attraction;
- Functionality (programming);
- Accessibility (browsers, etc.).
Using a rating scale from one to five for each criterion you can make a basic site evaluation yourself. A site which gets 20-25 can be considered successful and its creators can be justifiably proud of their offspring. Everything that gets less than 10 should be committed to oblivion.
Average isn’t worthy of discussing, a creator of such sites cannot be either ashamed or glad for a result; he has just made his job and hasn’t put heart into it.
